Looking towards the 20 year mark this year…
By Jenny | February 3, 2007
We are looking forward to our 20 year anniversary later this year. It is amazing to me to think of what we thought marriage would be, and how much better it has been than we thought. It has not been easy, by any stretch, but the companionship we have now is good.
It is also a blessing to see the children, and how good it has been because of them. We are thankful to have, in some ways, grown up with them. They have been a great group of people. ![]()

As a family, we love to play…
By Jenny | February 3, 2007
Settlers of Catan! If you have not played it before, you should try it out. It is a great game of strategy, and a fair amount of chance, a good combination in any game.
We have played it with our immediate family, and then also our extended family, and it loads of fun.

We like to invite people over to play it also. ![]()

Road Trip! Days 11-13
By Jenny | January 26, 2007
The rest of our trip was fairly uneventful, compared to our visits with our families.
We drove home through Southern California, and stopped off to see Jode’s father. That was a very short visit (regrettably-we would have all loved to have seen him more!), but still it was great to see him.
We drove out of the desert in the morning, and it was really beautiful. The sun rising was tinged with pink, making the landscape very clear and colorful. We drove through the day, through Utah, and then into Colorado. I had no idea that the landscape was so varied in southern Utah. I took more photos.
We stopped at one point, where their was a view point, and we let the kids get out and run around in the snow. It was pretty crisp and cold out there! Anyhow, they loved it, and we spent our first night back in Colorado.
On the evening we returned home, I took a photo of the moon in the sky. It was not so much the moon I thought was beautiful, but the color of the sky around it.
I was surprised the color came out so accurate, so sapphire blue.
And, our final stop for gas on the way home, had this sign above the entryway of the store.
Yup. Welcome Home.
