Meet the newest family member….

Fezzik the Puppy!
Now we can join the millions of families that can shout, “Whose turn is it to take out the dog?” or “Who let the dog get in the trash?”
But, seriously, Jode and I both hope that this puppy will allow us the opportunity for further healing in the family. Not to sound as if we would foolishly put our hopes in this dog behaving well at first, but I mean that we both want us to all work as a team to train the dog. The children have responded well, and we are enjoying the time it takes to get to know Fezzik.
And, the cats have done well so far…..!

Cute Dog!
Regarding your oldest child. She is beautiful ( and not bad looking either). I do not see her getting the highest grades in her class, she will care about that, but also so many things that she will not be so “grades” oriented as to miss out on Living. She may not (or she may) get straight “A’s” but she will be a rip roaring success - as a person - as a daughter of God - as a holder of truth - as a strong soul.

I do not think this dog means what you think it does.
I have been blamed not once, but twice for not physically going to Nebraska and stopping you from getting a dog. I will admit to not reading the blog for over a month, and thus not alerting you on March 6th that it would be better to start a war with a neighboring country than to keep the dog. Otherwise, I wash my hands of this puppy.
Oh, and I might as well tell you what a thousand people will say to you over the next few years. “Have you seen the dog whisperer? He is great. If you watch the show than you will see how to get your dog to obey.”
May the force be with you. (last comment for Cori)

Alright, Uncle Chris, you are absolved of the dog issue…
And, I have already had one person mention a woman who is supposedly a dog whisperer to me. I told her, “Yes, what she has managed to do is to convince people that she knows what dogs are saying. I tell you, I could make a whole lot of money as ‘The Man Whisperer’, if only I could convince women I knew what men were saying…”
Not to man bash, but the concept was just as ridiculous…:)
We will be sure to check with you, Uncle Chris, and look for your wisdom about pets-before we bring it home.
But, I admit, Fezzik is cute. Of course, I am not the one cleaning up after him today, either….
